Dee called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m.

Jan moves and Muriel seconds that the minutes be approved as published in The Barker. Passed.

Corresponding Secretary’s Report. Letter from Mount Diablo Dog Training Club to have our show listed in the show calendar. It is free. The organization is in California. Jan will send in the information.

Deb passed around the letter and a photo from the WSU scholarship recipient.

Treasurer’s Report: We are in the negative range for the show. Discussion of how we spent money and what bills are outstanding.

Old Business

August Show, 2004. Jan indicates that the tents will not be reimbursed by insurance. They are fully depreciated. Bo discusses a rumor from Bill Holbrook regarding a $10.00 refund for entries…this is not true.

New Business

Board Meeting. We discussed the pros and cons of the judge’s reception and decided to cancel the dinner. We need to do something about the obedience end of the Poodle Club match. Dee proposed that she makes sure things go well with this match in the future.

Working Group Association. Bo says that this new group will probably have a match in January at the show on Saturday night. Bo will let Jan know for the January show premium list.

AKC Web Site: Bo discusses the AKC online puppy sales.

Jan indicates that the AKC Web site is inaccurate for the Jan. 2005 show. She has sent in the correction.

New Show Site: Jan and Patty toured the new site for the Puyallup show (newest building). It will be a tight squeeze in 2005. We’ll be in the new building in January 2006.

Agility. Bo: What is the status of Agility for the August 2004 show? Resolved.

Insurance. Jan suggest we will get new insurance for the club. She suggests moving from Safeco to Fireman’s fund. All agreed.

Committee Reports:

Inventory: Muriel and Reggie did inventory of the paper goods in the trailer. We are missing 10 canopies/tents that were damaged/destroyed at the show. They will cost about $700 apiece.

Programs: We have had several programs so far this year. Jan moves and Deb seconds that we do not have any more programs this year.

Membership Chair: Dee read Toshia Maund’s application. Jessica and Jan signed her application.

Nominating Committee: Jan, Reggie, Muriel.

Show Chair, 2005 (August). Patty nominates Jan. Deb seconds, Passed.

Show Chair 2006 (August). Dee volunteers.

Bo discusses judges for 2005 (August). Bo to send out list.

Holiday Party: December 12, 2004, from 2 to 6 at Deb Lewy’s house.

Web site: Deb talks about a membership area only of the web site. She will come up with a list to present to the group of what types of things might go into this special portion of the site.
