President, Beverly Little, called the meeting to order at 7:45pm. In attendance: Dave and Rusty Kingery, Nancy Warfield, Nolan Rundquist, Jan Leikam, Dee Carlson, Beverly Little, Patty Anderson, Bo Gloster, Sandee Isaacson, Michelle Brown and guest, Julia Johns.

The minutes of the last meeting were approved as published in the Barker.

President’s Report: none

Secretary’s Report: none.

Treasurer’s Report: none.

Board Report: The board recommends to the general membership to accept Jan Leikam as Aug 2011 and 2012 show chair. The motion was accepted to have Jan as Aug 2011 and 2012 show chair.

Committee Reports:

Nominating Committee: the slate was read by Michelle Brown. President- Rusty Kingery, Vice President-Bo Gloster, Secretary-Michelle Brown, Treasurer- Patty Anderson, Board of Directors- Jan Leikam, Dee Carlson, Geri Orta, Dave Kingery and Nancy Warfield. AKC Delegate- BoGloster, serving an unexpired term.

January Show Committee: Jan Leikam reported the supported entry is Corgies.

Unfinished Business:

Standing Rules: will be postponed until the next meeting due to the Chair of the Standing Rules Committee was not present to continue the update.

New Business:

Christmas Party: December 8th, 2010 at the Crab Cracker in Kirkland.

SAMM Attire Style Show: a few vests and jackets were shown. Nancy Warfield will bring 2 choices of vests (fleece and cotton), and 2 kinds of jackets with prices from brochures to the next meeting.

Membership: Rusty Kingery read Julia Johns application for the second time. Also Sandee Isaacson is welcomed back to the club.

Delegates Report: Bo Gloster explained a move afoot that the AKC wants to allow the superintendants to schedule judges after lunch without breaking them down into hour or hour and half allotments. The change is to have single entry dogs judged first in the afternoon. He said it would be up to the show chair to decide whether or not to schedule this way. Also the AKC is discussing establishing owner amateur handler and 4-6month puppy groups.

Next Meeting: November 10th, 2010 at the Rose Hill Fire station in Kirkland.
