STROLLING THRU MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS BACK
YARD ON DEER TRAILS ACROSS TIGER MT..
As we move out of the city into the suburbs we must expect on occasion to share the land with the wild life that lived here for many years before we all came.
The bottom half of our 12 acres we leave in the wild state as does our neighbor. We don’t bother them and they don’t bother us. We live smart and keep our garbage in the garage, we take down the bird feeder in the spring and summer. Our sheep are tucked away for the night. We have seen Bobcats, coyotes, and the brave deer that occasionally get chased till they run into the blackberry bushes that make a border around the south side of the property. The dogs discouraged the raccoons, actually treeing one for a couple of hours until the dogs got bored and left and the raccoon made a quick getaway.
My neighbor took this picture . He figured he was about 175 lbs by the depth of the foot print. He shared with us and I thought I would share with all of you. |
