Dear Mrs. Leikam

It is with sincere appreciation that I write to thank you for your generous contribution to the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine scholarship program. I am immensely grateful to be the recipient of this year‟s Sammamish Kennel Club Scholarship. It is thanks to generous individuals such as yourself that students like me are able to maintain financial stability during veterinary school.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am from the small town of Bow, WA. In Skagit county. I completed my undergraduate degree at WSU and am thrilled to be earning my DVM here as well. Outside of school, I enjoy riding my paint horse mare, bicycling, gardening, planning my wedding [May 15,2010], and supporting my Mom at dog shows, where she competes with her Golden Re-triever. Upon graduation I hope to work in a mixed animal private practice in Western Washington.
