	Sammamish Kennel Club, Inc Awards For The Year 2012

	Congratulations to the following members for their accomplishments in 2012:

		GCH Zooropa Laureate Adriene Picture This, "Wynn" Owners: Patty Anderson / Jan Leikam Breeders: Patty Anderson / Monica Barry BCOA National Specialty - Awarded four years in a row Award of Merit
		*CH Blutartans Encore Encore* Owners / Breeders: Paul and Jackie Blumenstetter
		*CH Snowflower Racing the Wind, UD RN VER NA CA HIT TT* Owners: Ken and Dee Carlson Breeder: Carmen Hegesen March 2012: Finished Agility Novice Standard title (NA) and earned first place. He was then eligible to move up to the Open Standard class March 2012: BOB at Seattle Kennel Club show for his first major toward the Grand Champion title April 2012: Finished his Obedience Utility Dog (UD) title at the WSOTC Trials June 2012: Won the Obedience High Combined award by earning first place in Open B and Utility B at the Puyallup Trials October 2012: Earned the Coursing Ability (CA) at a test held at Argus while he was also running in the Agility Trial that day November 2012: Finished his Obedience Versatility (VER) title at the trials in Lynden
		*CH Sageflyer Gorta's Ranger, UD OM1 GO RE SH NA* Owner: Geri Orta Breeders: Larry and Shirley Schwerdt Ranger was a busy puppy in 2012. Starting in January he received his Graduate Open and Utility titles. In April we went to GSP nationals in Phoenix. On the first day of obedience he got High in Trial and High Combined. On the second day he got High Combined. We also got his Novice Agility title in Phoenix. In the PNW, he earned his Senior Hunter in June and his Championship in September. In November, he received his Obedience Mast 1. He received second place (Top Obedience Dog 2011 award) of all GSP's in Canada. He also received the UBER award from the GSP of Oregon Club.
		*GCH Randy's Turning Up the Heat at Fujitsu, "Tommy"* Owners: Diane Zech and Susan louff Breeder: Randy Buske Tommy finished his Championship with three 5-point wins, in May of 2012, by adding two back-to-back 5-point wins to a previous major win. He then went on, undefeated over other specials to finish his Grand Championship in straight shows, finishing in July 2012.
		*CH Pomryte Cloud Walker at Mairys, "Gabe" or "Gabriel"* Owners: Leonard and Susan Plouff, and Verda Wright Breeder: Verda Wright Gabriel finished his title in May 2012 with his 4th major win and multiple breeds over specials and a group placement along the way. Gabe had a little help from several friends, with each, Len, Susan and another friend winning majors with him.He was a wonderful dog to show, but retired prior to earning his Grand Championship due to losing a tooth while courting a girl.
		*GCH AKC, BIS RBIS UKC, Can, International CH Maitai's Special Gift, "Dasha"* Owners: Leonard and Susan Plouff Breeder: Susan Plouff A winner in national competition, a holder of many titles, Dasha truly is our 'special gift.' She finished each championship with breeds over specials in multiple venues, including the #1 dog at the time (owned by Mr. Bill Cosby). She earned multiple titles including UKC, CKC, and IABCA championships, earning not only a BIS and RBIS along the way, but also many group placements. She finished 2004 the #2 Pomeranian in UKC, missing #1 by one defeat. Yes I said 2004! In August 2012 (at the ripe age of 11 years, 6 months and 8 days) she set another record by becoming the oldest Pomeranian female in breed history to add Grand Champion to her list of titles, beating younger (and ranked) specials for breed wins along the way. In 2011-2012, Dasha ended with run with one BOB in Specialty, three Specialty BOSS wins, and five Specialty Best Veteran in Show and Best Veteran in Sweeps wins, including at the APC nationals and supported specialties, in heavy competition. What a ride!
